Our LTEC post-festival publication is out

Categories: Schools

On Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 September 2023, colleagues from across the University were invited along to join the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre (LTEC) team for their highly successful Festival of Learning & Teaching. This time the topic focused on ‘Developing Authentic Practitioners’.

The festival presented the perfect opportunity for celebrating and capturing best practice from across the University, as well as sharing innovative new approaches and pedagogical research. A fantastic 26 presentations from colleagues took place across the two-day festival, as well as several highly anticipated keynote speeches, workshops, lightening talks and posters.

Before the festival took place, LTEC invited colleagues to submit their papers and posters (with audio) for a chance to be published in a Spring 2024 Special Edition of the online journal ‘Innovative Practice in Higher Education’ (IPiHE). The submissions were based on abstracts presented at the festival.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that six papers and five posters from the festival were accepted as part of a peer-review process, and, after working through the editorial process with IPiHE, today (Thursday 15 February) finally sees the launch of our publication in the IPiHE Spring journal.

In recognition of this, Professor Jess Power, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Learning and Teaching Enhancement, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have an external publication that showcases the excellent work of colleagues right across our organisation. It is wonderful to see the vital work of our technical, professional services staff, and academics vital work synthesised into a single publication. This is our inaugural publication, and the first of many which will build upon the work of the newly formed Learning & Teaching Scholarly Group.”
