Book your Offer Holder Day

We’d like to invite you to attend your exclusive Offer Holder Day.

Even if you've already been to an Open Day, attending an Offer Holder Day is a great next step. They're on campus events which will help give you a true taste for life as a Salford student. You'll get chance to attend a taster session for your chosen course, chat to current students and staff and meet your future classmates.

You’ll be able to explore our fantastic facilities including our accommodation, the Students’ Union and our sports centre. You can also find out more about applying for student finance, and all the support we have available for our students.

Life on campus

On campus, there's lots to get involved in: from joining a society, to exploring our sports centre and fitness classes, to winding down after a day of lectures in our Students' Union bar and café. We also have beautiful green spaces for you to relax, with Peel Park situated right next to our Peel Park campus. Explore our campuses on Instagram and TikTok, and on the links below.

Your accommodation

Living in halls is a great way to meet new people, make friends, and immerse yourself in student life. We work with our accommodation partners, Campus Living Villages (CLV), who manage two accommodation villages: Peel Park Quarter, and John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts

Our student accommodation is very popular and gets booked up quickly, so we recommend booking early, even if you’re not 100% sure what your plans are yet. For Peel Park Quarter, you must register in advance before booking, and access to book will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. We'll contact offer holders in March and April to keep you up to date and let you know when registration opens. Bookings for John Lester and Eddie Colman will open in April and we will be in touch with all offer holders to update you then.

Some of our students decide to live off campus and there are lots of other options to find a great place to live. Manchester Student Homes offer a wide range of accommodation options from student halls to apartments and family homes.

Run by our students, the SU is home to our bar, restaurant and events space Atmosphere, as well as all the clubs and societies we have here at Salford - check them out in the video below.

Fees and funding

Deciding to come to university can be a large financial commitment and the different types of loans or scholarships available and how they work can be confusing. Therefore, it's really important to understand the fees you're required to pay and to learn how to manage your money once you arrive.

We’ll be in touch when the Student Finance England and Student Finance Northern Ireland applications open for students starting in 2024/25.

City life in Salford and Manchester

University life isn't just about lectures and labs - the city you live in also shapes how you learn and the person you become. Salford is part of Greater Manchester, a thriving, diverse city-region in the north-west of England.

Our main campus is just a 20 minute walk from Manchester city centre, or you can get the train in from our on-campus train station (Salford Crescent) to enjoy the history, culture, bars, and restaurants of two fantastic cities. The 50 bus is also free to students, meaning you can take advantage of our campus at MediaCity and discover the breathtaking views of the Quays.

Take a tour in the video linked below.

International students – your next steps

If you are an international student, you may have offer conditions you need to meet before you can get an unconditional offer. This includes showing proof of English language and paying a deposit. You may also need to get your Student visa.

"Keeping up with Salford’s socials can be really important, especially when considering coming to the University. Our socials can be beneficial to see what the University has to offer including what facilities we have, what the courses are like and what student life is like living in the Salford and Manchester area. When I was looking for a place to study, the University of Salford’s social media really helped me to understand what to expect coming into my English degree."
