We know that you may have been out of study for a while, and after everything that’s happened this year we want to help you get ahead. Starting university is an exciting time, but the step up to University level study can also be challenging.
UniSkills introduces the academic expectations of studying at the University of Salford, so that you feel ready and confident to achieve your degree. The course is designed to develop your study, research and digital skills through interactive and engaging eLearning content.
We are also running UniSkills Q&A webinars throughout August and September. You can book a place using the form at the bottom of this page.

Before you begin UniSkills, complete our short pre-learning quiz to help you identify areas of confidence and areas of concern. It shouldn't take any more than two minutes.
Part 1: Learning at University
In part 1, discover your preferred ways of learning so that you can study and learn in the best way for you and understand how to perform well in your assessments.
It will take you approximately 1 hour to complete Part 1: Learning at University.
Part 2: Finding information for your studies
In part 2 learn about the best places to search for suitable information and evidence for your module tasks, learning and assessments.
It will take you approximately 1 hour to complete Part 2: Finding information for your studies.
Part 3: Studying effectively and ethically
In part 3 develop your academic, digital and personal skills for studying at University. Learn all about plagiarism, academic misconduct, referencing, effective academic reading and note taking and many more essential skills.
It will take you approximately 1 hour to complete Part 3: Studying effectively and ethically.
