With our green campus just a mile from central Manchester, you'll be studying at the heart of one of the most exciting centres in Europe, collaborating with industry partners leading some exciting new developments. Our experienced teaching team maintain strong links with the architecture, engineering and construction sectors, both local and international. You'll benefit from site visits, practitioner-led lectures and real-world problem-solving activities developed with input from industry.

Our impressive facilities include Think Lab, a futuristic research environment used for smart city applications, industry collaborations, and interactive learning. Salford is also home to Energy House – the only fully climate-controlled research facility of its kind in the world. This full-sized two bedroom terraced house is based inside an environmental chamber that can replicate varying weather conditions. It is packed with an array of sensors that provide vital data for researchers and industry professionals.

Combining work and study is one of the best ways to build knowledge and skills in construction. We offer our surveying degree courses in a range of flexible pathways, so you can apply your learning in a real-world context. These include full and part-time study, plus our innovative accelerated programmes that can help you to graduate sooner.

Full-time surveying students can also add an optional placement year between years two and three to gain essential industry experience and align for job opportunities once graduated.
