Physics was awarded a score of 23/24 points for teaching quality in the last official UK University Subject Review by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. We have some great facilities to help you get to grips with Physics and you'll spend plenty of time in our specialist laboratories.
Our Joule Physics Laboratories include a purpose-built suite of large, open-space teaching laboratories. We also provide dedicated teaching spaces and specialist laboratories for electronics, optics, lasers, computing and composite materials.
Our teaching methods and physics courses provide you with skills that are relevant in any working environment. As well as being highly numerate, analytical and logical, the chances are that you'll also be a creative thinker - capable of communicating effectively, managing projects and excellent at problem solving.
