Awards and accreditations

Students working in a group

Professional accreditations are an external validation of the quality of our courses. Courses that have accreditation have been though a rigorous independent assessment by the relevant professional body.

Why accreditations matter

The organisations that accredit our courses ensure that graduates meet a defined set of learning outcomes, including subject knowledge, technical ability and transferable skills.

We’re proud of the number of accreditations we hold. Our courses have been accredited by organisations including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Many of our postgraduate international programmes hold EFMD accreditation - the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of business programmes. Our school is also a recognised ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) centre.

What our students say

University of Salford student, James Hodgson-Jones

“I knew I wanted to do the ACA qualification and out of the universities I applied for, Salford were offering the top exemptions. That was one of the main reasons why I chose to come here. ” - James Hodgson-Jones, BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance.
