Salford Business School looks to businesses for support with student webinars

Categories: Salford Business School

Salford Business School has curated a package of webinars, running through June and July aimed at enhancing the employability skills that students and graduates will need as they navigate their way through an uncertain job market.

They provide a great opportunity for businesses in the region to find new talent and help the next generation develop employability skills.

Kerry Moores, Employability Officer from Salford Business School, has secured a range of engaging and helpful webinars aimed to help students adjust to new ways of working and how to respond to challenging situations. Some of the companies which have already helped include EY, PZ Cussons and Salford Council, among others.

Dr Francine Morris, Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement at Salford Business School said: “In the light of the disruption in the graduate labour market and the likely increased competition our graduates will face, we wanted SBS students to get up-to-the minute advice from employers. It is clear to see that our industry partners are genuinely pleased to support the students and we are grateful to those who have offered help so far.”

Talent Acquisition at PZ Cussons and Salford Alumni, Josh Armitt who hosted a webinar ‘Standing out form the crowd’ said: “It was great to see so many Salford Business School students attend this event and take proactive steps towards the planning of their future careers, especially during these difficult times. I would like to thank Kerry and the rest of the Salford University Employability Hub for inviting me to host this seminar, and to all of the students who attended – I hope you found the presentation and the Q&A session beneficial and wish you the best of luck in landing your dream roles.”
