Salford and Pakistan

Pharmaceutical Three Students Working Together in a lab

At the University of Salford, we welcome large numbers of students from Pakistan and South Asia each year. Pakistani students have been coming to study with us for many years. Our location in the north west of England is home to hundreds of thousands of people whose descendants immigrated from Pakistan, so you’ll find many people living here who speak Pakistani languages like Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi and Pashtu.

Greater Manchester is very well known for its great Pakistani restaurants, takeaways and shops selling Asian food. There are also a number of mosques within easy reach of our campus.

Pakistani students come to the University of Salford to study a wide range of subjects, including business, management, finance, computing, science and engineering.

We have a good network of approved agents representing us in Pakistan, who can assist you with your application to the University of Salford

Salford is easy to reach from Pakistan. Pakistan International Airlines operate flights direct to Manchester International Airport, and other airlines such as Emirates, Etihad and Turkish Airlines connect to Manchester via their hub airports. Our campus is within easy reach of Manchester International Airport by taxi or public transport.

The Greater Manchester area is a great place to live. Being one of the largest student cities in Europe, you’ll never be short of something interesting to see and do here. There’s a brilliant nightlife scene, including restaurants, cinemas, live music and theatre venues. You can also see two of the world’s most famous football teams: Manchester United and Manchester City.

As one of our students, you don't just become a member of a student body, you will join our community. You will be taught by experts in their field who pride themselves on their links with industry. We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Salford.
