Universities unite to support students facing accommodation costs from private landlords in Greater Manchester.
In light of the vast number of students who have now left their student accommodation and returned to family homes following the outbreak of COVID-19, Greater Manchester universities are calling on private landlords to consider releasing students who have already vacated properties from their rental contracts.
A letter, co-signed by Manchester universities and student unions, has been sent to private landlords today requesting that they waive rent for students who have returned home in recent weeks.
